Pay Range: $12.50 - $14.00/hour | Weekly Pay
Location: Fort Smith, AR

Available Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM- 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 

(Shift assignments may vary based on individual needs and scheduling.)

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and reliable DSPs to provide hands-on support to an adult consumer in their home and community. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life through person-centered care.

DSPs empower individuals to live in a home of their choice, access community resources, attend school or work, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.

About the Individual you will Support:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered support to a male consumer in his home. In this role at Arkansas Support Network, you will play an essential part in enhancing the consumer’s quality of life by delivering individualized support that respects his personal choices, as well as the choices of his family and guardian, encourages independence, and builds meaningful relationships. This consumer has a very gentle and sweet personality, with very few, if any, negative behaviors. He is soft spoken, funny and someone who is enjoyable to be around. He is extremely orderly and neat, has a place for everything and expects everything in its place. He enjoys old, classic TV shows and country music, train watching and train rides, arts and crafts, games, puzzles, movies and spending time with family and friends.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (or 1 year relevant experience)
  • 18 years or older
  • Required to pass background checks and required clearances
  • Flexibility to work weekend schedules
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license

Working Conditions:

  • Work occurs in people's homes, community settings, and agency sites; may include standing, walking, and driving.
  • May involve exposure to challenging behaviors and physical tasks; agency provides training and supports.
  • May involve lifting or using equipment to facilitate mobility.
  • May involve assisting with personal care.
