This position is ideal for a compassionate, dependable, and patient Direct Support Professional who enjoys building trusting relationships and providing individualized support. The individual communicates non-verbally through eye contact, facial expressions, and head nods, so staff should be attentive, observant, and responsive to her unique communication style.

Responsibilities include providing hands-on assistance with personal care, daily living skills, mobility support, and safe participation in community activities. The individual benefits from a calm, structured environment, consistent routines, and staff who can provide gentle encouragement, positive reinforcement, and attentive supervision while promoting as much independence as possible.

What You’ll Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Clearances: Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings.
• Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (essential for community outings).
• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends or fill-in shifts as needed.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in the individual's home, community settings, and agency sites.
• Position requires standing, walking, driving, and assisting with personal care.
• May involve physical tasks, lifting, or utilizing mobility-facilitating equipment.
• May involve navigating challenging behaviors; ASN provides comprehensive, ongoing training and team support to ensure your success and safety.

Pay Range: $14.70 / hour (Paid Weekly!)
