Behavior Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementation of the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) as designed, written, and directed by the Consultant

  • Completes daily case notes as required in the treatment plan
  • Collects data as instructed by Consultant and LBT
  • Maintains data integrity as required by the program and Consultant
  • Follows the session guidelines
  • Only implements interventions that are written in the ITP
  • Implementation of the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) as designed, written and directed by the Consultant Implements interventions described in the BIP

Collects data as required by the BIP and Consultant

  • Only implements interventions that are written in the BIP
  • NEVER implements any punishment or aversive procedures 
  • Respect, Confidentiality, and Protection
  • Maintains respect and confidentiality for all children and families by following HIPPA and PHI guidelines
  • Maintains and protect the well-being of all children at all times
  • Follows the Arkansas Mandated Reporter guidelines
  • Follows the BACB Ethical Guidelines
  • Follows the Arkansas Support Network ABA Program Policy
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • The BT must be creative, flexible, and self-motivated, and must possess excellent time management, observation, and analytical skills. The BT should have the ability to work with a team. 
  • Must be energetic and a team player. A high school diploma or GED is required. 
  • Preference will be given to those persons with a disability or their family members when all other criteria are met. 
  • The BT should have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children preferably who have autism. 
  • All applicants must pass a background check

Training Requirements:

  • 40 hours of RBT curriculum as approved the BACB within 2 weeks of it being assigned
  • Pass the RBT Practice Exam with a minimum of 80%
  • Have completed the 40 hours of the RBT curriculum as regulated by the BACB prior hiring and complete an additional 80 hours of training in the field of supervision and ABA within the first year of employment

Location: Northwest Arkansas 

Hours: 16 hours a week, Wednesday to Friday 3pm to 7pm and Saturday 7:30am to 11:30 am
