Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and engaging Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an exceptional Member with a great sense of humor, strong attention to detail, and a natural ability to connect with others. The Member communicates effectively, advocates for personal needs and preferences, and has a strong support network.
The Member enjoys community activities, watching basketball and football, and playing video games. The Member attends one in-person college class Monday–Thursday from 1:00 p.m.–2:20 p.m., is enrolled in two online classes, and utilizes transportation services to and from campus. The Member also participates in church on Sundays with family.
This role provides individualized, strengths-based support in home and community settings to promote independence, dignity, and meaningful community involvement.

In this role at Arkansas Support Network, you will play an essential part in enhancing the consumer’s quality of life by delivering individualized support that respects his personal choices, as well as the choices of his family and guardian, encourages independence, and builds meaningful relationships. This consumer has a very gentle and sweet personality, with very few, if any, negative behaviors. He is soft-spoken, funny, and enjoyable to be around.
